Quick answer

What is QR Guide?

QR Guide is a web-based interactive guide for museums, towns, parks and exhibitions. Visitors scan a QR code and open text, audio, video or photo galleries directly on their phone, without installing an app or borrowing a device.

  • runs 24/7 in a normal browser
  • content can be edited and translated
  • works for indoor exhibitions and outdoor trails

QR Guide

What visitors get and what you learn

Content on the phone

Visitors scan a QR code and instantly open text, photos, video or an audio explanation for a specific stop.

Languages without extra signs

One QR code can serve local and international visitors. They choose the language themselves.

Less work for staff

Routes and stops are available on the phone, so you do not need to lend and maintain audio-guide devices.

Data for better exhibitions

Statistics show which stops visitors open, which languages they use and when traffic is strongest.

Best use

Who is QR Guide best for?

QR Guide is useful where a printed sign is too limited and the visitor’s own phone is the simplest device.

Best for

  • museums, galleries, chateaux and smaller exhibitions
  • city walks, parks and educational trails
  • places that need more languages without reprinting signs

Less suitable if

  • visitors cannot use phones
  • there is no mobile signal or Wi-Fi
  • you need a full native app with offline features

Why trust it

A concrete product, not a generic presentation

QR Guide includes a live Frýdek-Místek guide example, real field photos, a subtitled video demo and pricing for common European currencies. The project is operated by Service Anywhere s.r.o.

  • live guide stops can be opened from the website
  • the video includes subtitles in supported languages
  • requests are sent to info@kiosekpromuzeum.cz

Process

How QR Guide works

1. Create stops and content

Each place, exhibit or sign gets its own page with text, photos, video or audio narration.

2. Generate QR codes

Print QR codes on labels, maps, entrance signs or promotional materials.

3. Visitors scan and explore

The mobile guide opens after scanning. Visitors can move between stops without scanning every code again.

4. Follow visitor statistics

The admin area shows which stops attract attention and which language versions people use.

QR Guide can be tested in the Chateau Park in Frýdek-Místek. Routes like this show the main advantage clearly: visitors explore at their own pace and the institution avoids device management.

Text in the guide

Examples from current production

Below are three real stops from the current Frýdek-Místek guide. They start with the opening page, which explains how to use the guide, scan QR codes and switch language. This is the kind of mobile text that works on site: short, specific and written for a visitor standing in front of the stop.

Live example 104

Frýdek-Místek and surroundings: visitor instructions

The opening stop explains that visitors need an internet connection, camera permission for scanning QR codes and that photos or videos are placed below the text.

  • guide control instructions
  • how to work with the QR code
  • language switch via the flag

01 - Frýdek Castle

  • stone fountain from 1863

Video in the guide

Video presentation where text is not enough

QR Guide can show video at a stop as naturally as text, audio or a gallery. It is useful for short reconstructions, craft demonstrations, historical comparisons or movement that a static sign cannot explain.

  • video opens directly in the mobile guide,
  • visitors do not need to install an app,
  • video can be combined with text, audio and galleries.

A short video can explain a story, process or transformation faster than a long caption.

Video transcript

Scan the QR code and the guide opens immediately.

No app installation is needed; a normal mobile browser is enough.

One stop can contain text, audio, video and a photo gallery in the visitor’s language.

The administrator can see visit statistics and prepare QR codes directly in the administration.
